Today, in a message to their 65propaganda mailing list, Sheffield-based math/post-rockers 65daysofstatic announced their upcoming album, We Were Exploding Anyway. With no specific release date other than, “the vaguest of times, THE SPRING,” We Were Exploding Anyway will serve as the long-awaited fourth studio album for 65daysofstatic. Track list after the jump.65kids will likely be keeping their eyes on the new album. After all, this will be the first we’ve heard from 65daysofstatic in some time. Their last album, The Destruction of Small Ideas, was released in 2007. Since then, the only thing 65daysofstatic have given us has been their 2008 EP, The Distant and Mechanised Glow of Eastern European Dance Parties. Years For Beards eagerly awaits any new sounds from 65daysofstatic.
Track List:
01. Mountainhead
02. Crash Tactics
03. Dance Dance Dance
04. Piano Fights

09. Tiger Girl
Also announced in the message were additional tour dates in the UK, with Nedry and Loops Haunt tagging along.
In a final piece of 65dos news, BBC’s adaption of Kurt Vonnegut’s classic Slaughterhouse 5, which featured some “incidental time-travel music” by the band will get a re-airing soon. Catch it on Radio 4 as the afternoon play on Saturday, February 13th.
